🔍 New: Dynamic “Search all X drinks” Search Bar

We’ve added a smarter search bar that now dynamically shows the total number of drinks available to explore. The placeholder text updates in real time (e.g., “Type to search (180 drinks)”) and is now implemented on both the homepage and the All Drinks page. So you instantly know how much there is to discover. This improved search experience is now available on both the homepage and the All Drinks page.

Add Drink: File Size Messaging & Validation

What changed?

• Added a friendly, branded error alert (now styled in red) when a selected file is ≥ 5 MB

• Added a success alert for valid files ≤ 5 MB.

• Introduced workflow-based validation so we control the message users see (instead of the browser’s default, jarring error).

Why?

Users were hitting the browser’s native error when files were over 5 MB. That message felt harsh and inconsistent with our UI, causing confusion and stress.

• Less stress, clearer message. Instead of a harsh system error, users now see a calm, human-friendly note that explains what went wrong.

• Faster fix. The alert tells people exactly what to do (“pick a file under 5 MB”), so they can correct it in one try.

• Consistent look & feel. The message matches our design, so it feels like part of Drinkzy—not a random browser pop-up.

• Smoother flow. We catch the issue right away and clear the file, so users aren’t stuck wondering why nothing saved.

• More trust. A clear, polite explanation = happier users and fewer support questions.

• Homepage Highlight Fix

  • Fixed: The featured image on the homepage was displaying random photos, resulting in mismatches between the displayed image and the linked drink.

  • Improvement: The featured image is now bound to a single drink record. The displayed photo and click action consistently link to the correct drink, improving performance and reliability.

• Profile Stats Improvements (Fix for Highest Rated Drink)

  • Fixed: Profile stat cards were not displaying the correct favorite drink type and country.

  • Improvement: Stats now correctly calculate and display the user’s most logged drink type, favorite drink country, and highest rated drink.

  • UI Fix: The alignment of the icon and text in the favorite drink type card has been adjusted so that they display side by side.
